RRI.CO.ID, Entikong – The Sanggau Regency Administration in West Kalimantan is intensifying efforts to preserve ethnic cultures by supporting programs that safeguard diversity and reinforce local identity.

Chairman of Guyub Gawe Guno (G3) Association in Sanggau, Wardaya, announced that nine ethnic organizations in the regency have received grants to sustain cultural activities. Among them is G3, which actively promotes Javanese traditions in Sanggau.

“Guyub Gawe Guno, along with eight other ethnic associations, received grant support to strengthen cultural programs,” Wardaya said on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

He explained that the grants are tailored to each organization’s needs, ranging from cultural performances to initiatives that reinforce ethnic identity.

“These funds are used for operational costs and cultural activities, including efforts to strengthen our values,” he added.

The support is expected to help maintain cultural diversity in Sanggau, with ethnic organizations playing a vital role in preserving heritage.
