RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Crowds filled the National Monument (Monas) area in Jakarta on Saturday, March 28, 2026, as the government hosted a bazaar instructed by President Prabowo Subianto.
The event combined practical assistance with festive cheer, offering 100,000 shopping vouchers worth IDR 500,000 (approximately USD 29.46) each and 300,000 free meals prepared by nearly 800 small vendors.
Residents from across Jakarta expressed gratitude for the program, which helped ease household needs in the days following Eid al-Fitr. “Alhamdulillah, this coupon means a lot to me. After the Eid celebration, there are so many expenses beyond our control, but this really helps,” said Ine Sugesti from Cempaka Putih Barat, as quoted on the Presidential Secretary's official website.
She explained that recipients were registered through local administrations and transported to Monas by TransJakarta buses.
Siti Nuryati from Bungur shared similar relief. “We are very happy to receive these coupons today, especially for groceries. After the Eid celebration, our supplies at home ran out, so this assistance is very helpful,” she said.
Rahmawati, a mother from Cakung, added that she was able to take home rice, eggs, chicken, cooking oil, and sugar. “Alhamdulillah, it’s free,” she said with a smile.
The bazaar also brought joy beyond daily necessities. Afnila Wita from North Jakarta was delighted after winning a bicycle. “Alhamdulillah, I got a bike for my child to ride to school. Thank you to President Prabowo, may this benefit the people,” she said.

Children enjoyed games and rides, from basketball hoops to slides, while savoring snacks like nasi kebuli and chiki snacks. “We played games, ate snacks, and had so much fun. Thank you to President Prabowo, may he be blessed with health and long life,” Ibrahim and Rahim from Tanah Abang laughed as they described their day.
For families, the bazaar became both a source of support and entertainment. Ati Fatimah from East Jakarta said her children were thrilled. “They joined games, got dolls, snacks, and treats. It’s very helpful, like going to Monas to play and also bringing home gifts,” she explained. ***
