RRI.CO.ID, Nusantara - Indonesia’s Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara has issued a public advisory to ensure cleanliness, order, and comfort for visitors during the long holiday period in the Nusantara Capital City area. The guidance highlights proper conduct within the core government area and at the State Mosque of Nusantara.
The authority encourages visitors to embrace eco-friendly practices, including the use of reusable bags for storing footwear before entering mosque premises. This practice keeps the area clean while cutting down on single-use plastic waste.
As visitor numbers are expected to increase during the holiday season, these measures are part of broader efforts to manage crowds and uphold the sanctity of religious spaces. The State Mosque has become both a place of worship and a popular tourist spot.
Public Communication Special Staff and spokesperson Troy Pantouw emphasized the importance of simple steps in achieving sustainability.
“The use of reusable bags for footwear is a small step that can create a significant impact, and we invite all visitors to help maintain cleanliness and support sustainability in Nusantara,” he said on Monday, 23 March 2026.
Visitors are also reminded to follow on-site instructions, including using designated parking areas and avoiding illegal parking. These efforts aim to ensure safety, accessibility, and a pleasant experience for all.
To support convenience and safety, visitors are encouraged to download the IKNOW mobile application, which provides information and emergency features. The app reflects Nusantara’s development as a smart and responsive city.
Additional regulations apply to visitors heading to the State Palace area, including dress codes and visiting hours limited until 5:00 PM local time. Visitors are also advised to prepare for weather conditions by bringing appropriate personal items such as hats or umbrellas.
Through these measures, the Nusantara authority aims to promote responsibility, sustainability, and mutual respect. This reflects Indonesia’s broader vision of presenting Nusantara as a modern and environmentally conscious capital to the international community.
