RRI.CO.ID, Badung - The Badung Regency Administration in Bali has taken a significant step toward urban sustainability by transforming the Ida I Gusti Ngurah Gde Abian Traditional Village Field into a vibrant green open space for the Angantaka Village community.

Beyond mere landscaping, this project represents a broader strategic move by the Badung Regency Administration to integrate social welfare with historical preservation across the Abiansemal Subdistrict in Bali Province.

Inaugurating the facility on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the Regent of Badung, I Wayan Adi Arnawa, underscored that the project is a cornerstone of a regency-wide mandate.

"The construction of these facilities, which we are inaugurating today, is part of our vision to present creative parks and green open spaces in every village," remarked Regent Adi Arnawa during his address in Mangupura, as quoted by Antara.

He emphasized that these fields are intended to serve as "strategic spaces" that hold profound social, cultural, and historical value for the local populace.

To ensure the facility meets modern health and recreational standards, the Regent specifically instructed the widening of jogging tracks and the clearing of the central field to accommodate both athletic activities and children's play areas.

"This field is a public space of primary importance and full of meaning. In the future, every village in Badung must have representative parks as spaces for social interaction, recreation, and improving the quality of public health," he added.

The realization of the project followed an extensive collaborative effort between regional and village authorities. The Head of Angantaka Traditional Village, Ida Bagus Ngurah, revealed that while the project required a long process, it was made possible through robust fiscal support from the Badung Regency Administration.

A dedicated allocation of IDR 880 million (USD 52,071) from the Village Budget was utilized for field arrangement, the construction of the Pelinggih Padmasari shrine, commemorative inscriptions, and lighting.

Furthermore, the scale of the development was bolstered by a substantial land grant provided by the regency. "The Angantaka Traditional Village also received a grant of IDR 11 billion (USD 650.887) for land acquisition, realized directly by the Badung Regent. The land purchase tax was also covered by the Badung Regency Administration, ensuring it did not burden the traditional village," explained Ida Bagus Ngurah.

This comprehensive financial backing, including the waiver of acquisition taxes, highlights the administration's commitment to creating high-quality communal assets without depleting local village reserves. ***
