RRI.CO.ID, Gorontalo Regency - The Gorontalo Provincial Administration has officially commenced the distribution of the 2026 Fiscal Year Provincial Direct Food Assistance (BLP3G) to beneficiary families (KPM) in Gorontalo Regency on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

This assistance, which prioritizes the elderly and people with disabilities, targets the three regencies with the highest poverty rates in Gorontalo Province, which are Boalemo, Pohuwato, and Gorontalo. The initial distribution took place at the Datahu Village Office in Tibawa Subdistrict and the Pongongaila Village Office in Pulubala Subdistrict, Gorontalo Regency.

The aid was personally handed over by the Gorontalo Deputy Governor, Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie, accompanied by the Head of the Gorontalo Provincial Social Affairs and Civil Registration Agency, Reflin Buata.

Reflin Buata remarked that the total quota for the 2026 BLP3G program covers 3,000 beneficiary families. Specifically, Gorontalo Regency received 1,330 slots, Pohuwato Regency 842, and Boalemo Regency 828.

"Amidst the 2026 budget efficiency policies, this food assistance is prioritized for elderly families and people with disabilities registered under the NIK-based Single Identity Number (SIN)," said Reflin, as quoted by infopublik.id.

He further explained that approximately 85% of the priority recipients are within Deciles 1 and 2, while Deciles 3 to 5 account for 15%. Due to budget constraints this year, only three out of the six regencies and cities were targeted.

"Based on SIN data, these three regencies have the highest number of elderly individuals and people with disabilities," he added.

Each beneficiary family received a food package consisting of 10 kilograms of rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, 1 kilogram of granulated sugar, and 10 chicken eggs. The total value of the commodities per package is IDR 252,460 (USD 14.94). ***
