RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Administration is carrying significant momentum into its 2026 healthcare agenda. This follows official data revealing that the Free Health Check (CKG) program has already outperformed national benchmarks.

As reported by Antara, the initiative achieved a 37.5 percent coverage rate by the close of 2025. This figure effectively eclipsed the 36 percent target originally mandated by the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

"In 2025, as many as 4,202,586 people received the CKG, or 37.5 percent of the total target population," remarked Jakarta Health Agency Head, Ani Ruspitawati, in Jakarta on Monday, February 23, 2026.

This trajectory of success has continued into the current year, with 146,727 residents already screened between January and mid-February 2026. The city is now pushing for even higher totals by the end of the year.

To sustain this performance throughout 2026, the provincial administration is aggressively expanding service access by mobilizing a massive network of health facilities.

This expansion integrates community health centers, auxiliary clinics, and primary healthcare facilities (FKTP) in partnership with the Social Security Agency (BPJS). Additionally, regional hospitals are being utilized specifically to conduct newborn screenings.

Furthermore, the city is strengthening cross-sector collaboration to bring the "Community CKG" directly to the people.

This proactive outreach extends beyond clinical settings to include formal and informal workplaces, integrated health posts, and various public spaces. These diverse locations ensure that both the general public and employees have convenient access to preventative care.

Moving forward, the health agency is integrating these screenings with other priority health programs and launching intensive public awareness campaigns on the necessity of early detection.

Ani noted that the screening components strictly follow the Ministry of Health's technical guidelines. Furthermore, 2026 marks a strategic evolution for the program with the inclusion of specialized screenings for skin diseases such as leprosy, yaws, and scabies.

Crucially, the initiative functions as a comprehensive care cycle rather than just a diagnostic tool. Patients identified with health issues receive immediate medical management or referrals through the standard BPJS Health protocols.

"Until now, CKG participants who require treatment have been provided with treatment according to recommendations," Ani affirmed. ***
