RRI.CO.ID, Badung - The Coordinator of Social Welfare Activities (K3S) of Badung Regency, Bali, has stepped up its commitment to vulnerable citizens. This is demonstrated by providing a critical lifeline to a local family struggling with a child’s severe health crisis.
During a personal home visit to a young patient suffering from a malignant tumor, Chairperson Rasniathi Adi Arnawa emphasized that the administration's role extends far beyond administrative duty. She noted that their mission focuses instead on a holistic approach to community care.
This initiative serves as a cornerstone of the regency’s broader empowerment program. It is specifically designed to ensure that no family faces life-threatening illnesses without a strong support network.
Speaking in Mangupura on Sunday, February 23, 2026, Rasniathi Adi Arnawa highlighted the dual nature of their mission, which balances material aid with psychological encouragement.
“The goal of this activity is not only to improve the quality of life for beneficiaries but also to provide emotional and tangible support for those in difficult conditions,” she said, as quoted by Antara.
The visit was marked by the delivery of essential food supplies and direct financial assistance. These funds are specifically earmarked to cover the mounting costs of the child’s ongoing medical treatments.
The relief effort is the result of a strategic synergy between the administration and specialized health and social welfare foundations. By pooling resources with these partner organizations, K3S aims to create a sustainable safety net that significantly offsets the financial exhaustion often experienced by families dealing with chronic or terminal illnesses.
This collaborative model allows for a more nuanced understanding of the unique challenges faced by the rural population in Bali. The Chairperson noted that being physically present in the homes of the citizens allows the organization to fine-tune its outreach.
“Through this visit, we also want to hear the family's needs directly to ensure that existing assistance programs are on target and provide maximum benefits,” she added.
Concluding the visit, Rasniathi Adi Arnawa reaffirmed her office’s long-term dedication to the region's most fragile residents. She noted that they remain steadfast in monitoring and elevating the welfare of the vulnerable community through consistent, hands-on intervention. ***
