KBRN, Denpasar: While the Sanur Village Festival (SVF) is widely known for boosting tourism numbers, organizers and the local administration are emphasizing the event's powerful role as an economic engine for small businesses and a key strategy for extending visitor stays.

The City Administration of Denpasar, Bali, views the 2025 SVF tourism event as crucial for increasing both visitor numbers and the length of time tourists spend on the Island of the Gods. This focus on prolonged stays is strategically aimed at high-value markets.

"In the tourism industry, attractions are necessary, and the SVF is one such attraction that provides unique appeal," said Ketut Trisna Aryani, Marketing Head at the Denpasar City Tourism Agency, in Sanur, Denpasar, Bali, on Monday, November 4, 2025.

As reported by antaranews.com, the annual event is expected to increase the average length of stay by up to 10 percent, particularly for Australian tourists. These tourists typically stay around six to seven days, while European visitors have an average stay of 12 days.

Meanwhile, Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra, Chairperson of the Sanur Development Foundation and the event organizer, detailed the festival's significant economic benefit for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He revealed that the 2024 event recorded a direct MSME transaction volume on-site that reached IDR 2.5 billion (USD 149,950).

Sidharta expressed optimism that this year will see an even greater total transaction value for MSMEs during the event, which is scheduled to take place at the Muntig Siokan area of Mertasari Beach, Sanur, from November 7-8, 2025. The agenda includes culinary offerings of Balinese specialties, arts and cultural performances, MSME exhibitions, music, and sustainable lifestyle activities.

Various competitions are also scheduled, such as sunset runs, photo contests, cooking battles, and barista competitions. "The SVF is useful for boosting visits, especially in the Sanur area," Sidharta affirmed.

Now in its 18th year, the SVF will feature the return of the Bali Rockin Blues, bringing together cross-genre musicians. Up to 12 local music groups are slated to perform various styles, including rock, blues, and traditional regional songs.

Sidharta hopes the event will not only provide entertainment, but also offer local musicians a professional stage. ***
