Baron Beach, One of Well-Known Coastal Destinations in Yogyakarta

RRI.CO.ID, Wonosari – Baron Beach is a popular coastal destination in Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Located about 60 kilometers southeast of Yogyakarta city, the beach is known for its curved shoreline, surrounding green hills, and the river that flows into the Indian Ocean.

One of Baron Beach’s distinctive features is a point where freshwater meets seawater before it reaches the ocean. The river and the surrounding hills create a landscape that differs from many other beaches along Gunungkidul’s rugged southern coastline.
