Parangtritis Beach, The Most Well-Known Beach in Yogyakarta

RRI.CO.ID, Bantul – Parangtritis Beach is one of the best-known coastal destinations in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, on the Indonesian island of Java. Located about 30 kilometers south of the city of Yogyakarta, the beach is known for its wide stretch of dark volcanic sand, strong waves and views of the Indian Ocean.

The beach, located in Bantul Regency, forms part of the southern coast of Java, where the shoreline faces the Indian Ocean and is exposed to powerful waves and currents. Its broad sandy coastline makes Parangtritis a popular place for visitors to enjoy the scenery, watch the sunset and experience surrounding landscapes.
