Krui Bowl, Lampung: A Favorite Among Intermediate Surfers

RRI.CO.ID, West Lampung - Krui Bowl attracts intermediate surfers with consistent waves and a lively local surfing community. The spot sits along West Lampung's coastline, which stretches for around 100 kilometers and features more than a dozen world-class waves.
The coastline takes about one hour and 45 minutes to explore by road, with Krui located around its midpoint. Surfers can find numerous breaks along the route, ranging from shorter waves to longer and more powerful rides.
Most surf camps operate around Tanjung Setia, about 30 kilometers south of Krui. The area provides access to Ujung Bocur, a highly consistent left-hand break suited to intermediate and advanced surfers.
When conditions are favorable, Ujung Bocur can produce rides stretching 200 to 300 yards. The surrounding area also features several breaks that give surfers different options depending on the swell.
Near Krui, four main waves sit within walking distance of several surf camps. They include The Peak, Leftovers, Krui Left, and Krui Right, each offering its own wave characteristics.
These breaks generally produce smaller waves than the more exposed spots along the coastline. However, they can deliver quality rides when suitable swells reach the area.
