The break produces fast right-hand waves with steep takeoffs and occasional hollow sections. Its outside section can form barrels before turning into a fast wall, while the inside section breaks over shallow coral.

Blangujung Rights works best with strong southwest to south-southwest swells between four and eight feet or higher. Mid tide rising toward high tide can provide a better balance between wave shape and reef conditions.

The surfing window depends on seasonal and ocean conditions, with November to March considered the best time. It also identifies May to September as a favorable dry-season period, especially during calmer early mornings.

Surfers can reach the break only by boat from Banda Aceh or nearby surf bases in Lhoknga. Boats typically approach the channel, where surfers enter the water and paddle toward the break.

The remote location requires careful preparation because Blangujung Rights has no surf camps, medical support, or significant facilities. Sharp reefs, shallow inside sections, strong waves, and difficult exits can increase risks during a surfing session.
