RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Eight national tourism industry players are targeting potential strategic partnerships with Japanese travel agencies at the Tourism Expo Japan 2026. This business meeting is designed to expand marketing networks for Indonesia's superior tourism products and packages in the East Asian region.
"Through Tourism Expo Japan 2026, the Ministry of Tourism seeks to strengthen partnerships with Japan's tourism industry while expanding promotion of destinations beyond Bali. This effort aims to encourage Japanese tourists to realize the Go Beyond Ordinary spirit by exploring various distinctive archipelagic tourism experiences," said Ministry of Tourism Deputy for Marketing, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Friday, September 18, 2026.
As reported by Antara, this participation is considered a momentum to introduce the diversity of archipelagic destinations and tourism experiences while expanding business networks with Japan's tourism industry.
The Ministry of Tourism is presenting the Indonesia Pavilion as part of the event running from September 24 to 27, 2026, at Hall E2, Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan. At the Indonesia Pavilion, various destinations, tourism products, and hospitality services are presented under the latest Wonderful Indonesia campaign themed Go Beyond Ordinary.
Eight representatives of Indonesia's tourism industry are participating by offering various products and tourism packages to the Japanese market. These offerings cover destination governance, air connectivity, accommodation options, and wellness tourism packages.
Besides introducing Bali as one of Indonesia's flagship destinations, the Tourism Ministry also invites visitors to explore the diversity of destinations and tourism experiences across various regions of the archipelago.
This promotion is expected to expand travel options for Japanese tourists so that tourism experiences in Indonesia are not only centered on destinations that have been widely known thus far.
The business meeting is an important part of Indonesia's participation in Tourism Expo Japan 2026. This agenda opens opportunities for the national tourism industry to build partnerships, expand marketing networks, and introduce tourism packages that match the characteristics of the Japanese market.
In addition to business activities and destination promotion, the Indonesia Pavilion also presents traditional dance performances and sessions to sample distinctive archipelagic coffee. These attractions are presented to provide a complete picture of the richness of nature, culture, culinary offerings, and quality tourism experiences in Indonesia. ***
