RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Tourism continues to strengthen the promotion of Indonesian tourism in the international market through a collaborative publication of the First Class Indonesia program with several strategic partners to increase brand awareness of Wonderful Indonesia in the European market, particularly in the Netherlands.
In a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, March 5, 2026, Minister of Tourism, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, expressed her appreciation to RTL 4, Videoland, the filmmakers, and the creative team who contributed to the series' success. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the promotion of Indonesian tourism through inclusive, creative, and sustainable collaboration.
The Netherlands was chosen as the premiere location for First Class Indonesia™ due to the close historical ties between the two countries, consistent tourist visitation trends, and the strong interest of Dutch tourists in cultural, natural, and sustainable experiences.
Furthermore, the Netherlands is one of 15 target markets for Indonesian international tourism for the 2025–2026 period.
The First Class Indonesia™ program presents a travel series showcasing the richness of Indonesian tourism destinations through inspiring narratives and high-quality visuals.
This television series not only showcases the beauty of destinations but also highlights cultural values, local wisdom, and Indonesia's commitment to developing sustainable tourism.
A cinematic visual approach combined with strong storytelling is considered effective in building positive perceptions of Indonesian destinations, increasing international public awareness, and encouraging travel to several leading destinations such as Bali, Sumba, and Lombok.
The selection of this publication channel is expected to further strengthen Wonderful Indonesia's position in the European market.
The First Class Indonesia™ series showcases Bali's rich spirituality and culture through sacred rituals, traditions, wellness practices, culinary delights, and world-class hospitality services.
In Sumba, the series highlights the authenticity of ancestral traditions, local handicrafts, and the social impact of sustainable tourism development.
Meanwhile, in Lombok, the program showcases the harmony between natural beauty, adventure activities, and environmentally sustainable tourism practices.
