Ole Romeny's Condition Still Being Monitored Ahead of FIFA ASEAN 2026 Final

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian national football player Ole Romeny's condition is still being monitored by the Indonesia national team's medical staff ahead of the FIFA ASEAN 2026 final against Thailand. National team coach John Herdman said Ole remains on the list of available players, but his availability has yet to be confirmed.

“Ole is being monitored day by day. We will evaluate him again. There are no guarantees, but he is available,” Herdman said at a press conference at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Herdman explained that the decision regarding Ole's condition will depend on the medical team's evaluation. The medical team has been working hard to maintain the players' condition.

“That will again be in the hands of our medical team. They are doing an incredible job with these players to get them back to full fitness,” said the coach.

Ole has been one of Indonesia's key players, providing four assists in the emphatic victory over Bangladesh in the previous match. Indonesia defeated Bangladesh 9-2 to secure a place in the final.

Herdman even joked that Ole's achievement had earned him special treatment, as he trained separately during the training session ahead of the match. “When you get four assists in one game, you get special treatment. You can train on your own,” he said.

Ole was previously seen training separately from his teammates during a national team training session at PTIK Stadium. According to rri.co.id's observation, Ole conducted an individual training session on one side of the stands, while his teammates trained on the field.
