Indonesia Collects Six Medals in Three Days at Aichi Nagoya 2026 Asian Games

RRI.CO.ID, Nagoya - Indonesia has collected six medals at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games as of Monday, September 21, 2026. The tally includes one silver and five bronze medals from teqball, wushu, soft tennis, and karate.
Indonesia's silver medal came from Sumaya in the women's singles teqball event. She finished second after facing Myanmar's Wai Khin Hnin in the final.
Sumaya reached the final after defeating India's Quimcy Joaquim Dsouza in the semifinals. She secured the victory after a three-set battle, winning 7-12, 12-9, and 12-7.
Wushu added two bronze medals through the men's and women's changquan events. Seraf Naro Siregar scored 9.720 in the men's final, while Eugenia Diva Widodo scored 9.706.
Seraf finished behind Macau's Kuong Chi Hin and Song Chi Kuan in the men's changquan final. Eugenia finished third behind Hong Kong's Sham Hui Yu Lydia and Macau's Sou Cho Man.
Indonesia also earned bronze medals through men's team soft tennis and women's +68-kilogram kumite karate. The soft tennis team lost 0-2 to Japan in the semifinals, while Leica Al Humaira Lubis defeated Kyrgyzstan's Begimai Orozalieva 6-1.
The six medals were collected during the first three days of competition, which began on September 19. The Indonesian contingent will continue competing across various sports throughout the Asian Games.
The Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games will continue until October 4, with more Indonesian athletes still competing. Their participation continues Indonesia's efforts to achieve further results on the Asian sporting stage.
