Indonesia Wins Gold in Mixed Speed Relay at World Climbing Series

RRI.CO.ID, Guiyang - The Indonesian climbing team captured gold in the mixed speed relay at the World Climbing Series, triumphing in the final held in Guiyang, China, on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The victory adds to Indonesia’s earlier success in the men’s individual speed event.

Team Indonesia One, featuring Raharjati Nursamsa and Rajiah Sallsabillah, secured the title after defeating China’s Mengli Zhang and Ziyu Zhou in the final. Raharjati and Rajiah clocked 11.35 seconds, while the hosts finished in 14.85 seconds.

Team Indonesia Two, represented by Antasyafi Robby Al Hilmi and Kadek Adi Asih, exited in the quarterfinals after losing to Team USA One. The Americans posted 11.46 seconds against Indonesia’s 11.97 seconds. Team USA One, led by Samuel Watson and Emma Hunt, went on to claim bronze by beating France’s Jerome Morel and Capucine Viglione.

Raharjati expressed his joy after the win, emphasizing that consistency in training was the key to success. “I am very happy and grateful to win gold,” he said, adding that he is ready to pair with Rajiah again in the next competition in Chongqing.

Rajiah also celebrated her first international gold medal of 2026, noting the improvement from her previous outing in Krakow. “I’m so happy to reach the top podium. In Krakow, I partnered with Raharjati but we didn’t make it. I just tried to do better, and now we’ve won gold,” she said.
