RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s U20 squad is shifting its focus to a decisive clash against hosts Laos in the second Group H fixture of the 2027 AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, set for Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 7 p.m. local time in Vientiane.
Coach Nova Arianto acknowledged Laos’ resilience and pace as key challenges. “Laos as the host has strong fighting spirit and speed. That’s our main note,” he said in a statement from Jakarta on Tuesday, September 2, as quoted by Antara.
Nova stressed the importance of securing maximum points, with only group winners and the seven best runners-up advancing to the finals in China. The urgency is heightened by Indonesia’s final group match against defending champions Australia on Sunday.
