The 2026 Eco RunFest to Showcase 7 Environmental Initiatives

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Pertamina will once again host the annual Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026, themed “Spark the Change, Leave Zero Trace,” at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on December 6, 2026. This 13th edition combines sports, music, and lifestyle activities to encourage people worldwide to care about environmental sustainability.

This international event aims to attract 14,000 runners and 10,000 visitors from all walks of life. The entire series of activities is specifically designed to educate the public on the importance of sustainable plastic waste management.

In a written press release on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communications, Muhammad Baron, explained that this year’s event features seven sustainability initiatives. These seven initiatives include eco-jersey, eco-innovation, eco-mission, eco-talent, eco-production, eco-waste management, and eco-education.

“The Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026 is a movement that encourages the public to participate directly in protecting the environment. These sustainability initiatives are not merely rhetoric but are tangibly reflected in various program components, ranging from the use of production materials and the creation of running jerseys to waste management,” Baron explained.

Baron said that, as an energy company, Pertamina continues to strive to provide energy in a more responsible and sustainable manner. Through Eco RunFest, Pertamina aims to create an event that is not merely a sports event and music festival, but also an effort to promote a healthier and more environmentally conscious lifestyle.

“All proceeds from ticket sales for the 2026 Pertamina Eco RunFest will be donated 100 percent to support the implementation of our eco mission. Thus, every ticket purchased is not just a token of participation; participants can also provide tangible benefits to various environmental programs,” he said.

The organizers are also providing a carbon footprint calculator to help participants understand the impact of their activities on the environment. Tickets for the 2026 Pertamina Eco RunFest can be purchased through the MyPertamina app on August 27, 2026, exclusively for MyPertamina Redemption Points, and on August 28 for the general public.
