Ikhsan/Salsabila Advance to Round of 32 at Pontianak International Challenge 2026

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s mixed doubles pair Ikhsan Lintang Pramudya/Salsabila Zahra Aulia advanced to the round of 32 at the Polytron Pontianak International Challenge 2026. In the round of 16 qualifiers, they defeated compatriots Nabil Setiawan/Micha Leona Luthfia Wardoyo 21–13, 21–12.

The Super 100 match was played on Court 4 at Ahmad Yani Integrated Sports Hall, Pontianak, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, and wrapped up in just 23 minutes.

After the match, Salsabila Zahra Aulia said their preparations for this international tournament had gone well. “Our preparations were quite good. This is our first international match of the year, and we trained for about three months, so we feel ready and mature," she said.

"The challenge was that it’s been a while since we felt the atmosphere of competition, so I was a bit nervous and had to adjust to the court conditions,” she explained.

Next, Ikhsan/Salsabila will face Jonathan Farrell Gosal/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari. Salsabila emphasized their determination to challenge senior players and aim for victory.

“For the next match, we’ll study our opponents’ videos, maintain our playing pattern, and manage conditions off the court. Facing senior players, we definitely want to compete with them and win,” she said.

Ikhsan echoed the sentiment, stressing the importance of focus. “For me, the key is to stay ready and focus on each match, regardless of the opponent. Our strategy today was to attack immediately and keep the shuttle low,” he noted. (Diffa Sephiawardhani)
