RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia will have four players competing in the main draw of the second ITF M15 Amman Mineral Men's World Tennis Championship 2026, giving the host nation a stronger presence in the international tournament and more opportunities to gain valuable competitive experience and ATP ranking points.

The milestone was confirmed after Gunawan Trismuwantara became the only Indonesian player to advance through qualifying, defeating Saudi Arabia's Bader Idrees 6-4, 6-2 in a match lasting one hour and 48 minutes at the Bali National Tennis Center in the ITDC Nusa Dua complex on Monday, July 27, 2026.

"I felt comfortable with my game today, which allowed me to control the match, especially in the second set. This result matches my achievement in the first series, where I also reached the main draw," Gunawan said in a written statement on Monday, July 27, as quoted by Antara.

Gunawan joins three other Indonesian players who had already secured main-draw places through wildcard entries: Anthony Susanto, Nathan Barki, and Rafalentino Ali Da Costa.

Indonesia's remaining qualifying hopefuls, Ethan David Zapp and Kareem Abdul Hakim, were eliminated after losing to Japan's Yuya Hirose and India's Aniketh Venkataraman, respectively.

Beyond singles, Gunawan will also compete in the men's doubles alongside Anthony Susanto against third seeds Isaac Becroft/Daisuke Sumizawa. Main-draw action begins on Tuesday, July 28, with Nathan Barki set to face Japan's fifth seed Yusuke Takahashi.

In doubles, Rafalentino Ali Da Costa/Ethan David Zapp will meet India's Shanker Heisnam/Arjun Rathi, while Renaldy Aqila Salim/Ashwin Ryan Sharma take on Australia's Jack Bruce-Smith/Stefan Storch.

The second ITF M15 Amman Mineral Men's World Tennis Championship 2026 runs from July 27 to August 2, offering a USD 15,000 prize purse and continuing immediately after the first series held the previous week. ***
