RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s national team coach John Herdman has finalized a 26‑man squad for the ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026, blending seasoned campaigners with emerging talents as the Garuda chase their first title in Southeast Asia’s premier football tournament.

The roster features familiar names such as Rizky Ridho, Thom Haye, Nadeo Argawinata, Marc Klok, Jordi Amat, Beckham Putra, and Marselino Ferdinan. New club arrivals Sandy Walsh and Ragnar Oratmangoen at Persib Bandung, along with Tim Geypens at Bali United, also make the cut.

Of the 26 players, 24 are drawn from Indonesia’s Super League, while two ply their trade abroad: Justin Hubner at Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands and Mitchell Baker at Vermont Green in the United States. Baker, newly naturalized as an Indonesian citizen, earns his first call‑up.

The ASEAN Hyundai Cup--formerly known as the AFF Championship--kicked off Friday, July 24, and runs until August 26. Indonesia--grouped with Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, and Timor Leste--begin their campaign against Cambodia at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, on July 27.

They will then face Timor Leste in Chonburi (July 31), host Vietnam at Pakansari (August 3), and close the group stage away to Singapore at Jalan Besar Stadium (August 7).

Despite reaching the final six times, Indonesia has yet to lift the trophy. Herdman’s squad now shoulders the ambition of breaking that long‑standing barrier. ***
