RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian tennis player Muhammad Rifqi Fitriadi believes his remarkable run of three titles in the past three weeks at the ITF M15 Wuning series in China has provided valuable momentum for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, while also boosting his chances of competing in higher-level Challenger tournaments.

“The past three weeks have brought me a singles title and two doubles titles. It’s great preparation for the Asian Games and also valuable ranking points to compete in higher-level Challenger events. Consistency will be the key to improving further,” Rifqi said from Jakarta on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Rifqi capped the fourth week of the ITF M15 Wuning series by sweeping both the singles and doubles titles. In the singles final on Sunday, July 19, he defeated South Korea’s third seed Hoyoung Roh 6-4, 6-3.

A day earlier, Rifqi partnered Armenia’s Daniil Sarksian to claim the doubles crown after edging Taiwan’s Hsieh Cheng-Peng and Lai Chuan-Kai 6-7(7), 7-6(5), 12-10.

The victories followed his singles triumph in the second Wuning series, ending a nearly three-year wait for an ITF singles trophy. The 27-year-old said each achievement during the four-week campaign carried special meaning.

“Every achievement over these four weeks feels special, and every moment has been emotional. It’s been a long time since I stood on the podium and won a title, so this feels truly special,” he said.

Rifqi attributed his improved form this season to switching to a racket that better suits his playing style, along with greater maturity in managing his emotions during matches.

“One of the biggest differences is the new racket I started using earlier this year, which fits my game much better. I’ve also become more mature, calmer, and enjoy every match more, allowing me to focus on winning one point at a time,” he continued.

Despite completing his campaign in China, Rifqi has immediately shifted his focus to the ITF M15 Bali tournament, taking place from July 20–26.

Seeded fourth, he is scheduled to begin his campaign on Wednesday, July 22, competing in both singles and doubles, where he will partner with Philippine player Francis Casey Alcantara. ***
