The Group B clash on Monday night, June 22, ended with scores of 14‑25, 25‑22, 32‑30, 25‑27, and 15‑13, marking a turnaround for Alfien Daniel and teammates after a shaky start.
Team manager Loudry Maspaitella praised the players and coaching staff for their resilience.
“We played better than against Korea. The coach made bold changes--bringing in young players like Nibras, Alfin, and Gumilar--which shifted the momentum,” he said in a statement Tuesday, June 23, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
