RRI.CO.ID, Bandung - Indonesia’s women’s national football team suffered a 2‑0 defeat to Singapore in the June 2026 FIFA Women’s Matchday, also known as the Garuda Championship Series, at Arcamanik Stadium in Bandung on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Singapore started aggressively from the opening minutes, with efforts from Nicole Lim and Nur Syazwani repeatedly threatening the Indonesian goal.
The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute through an own goal by Emily Nahon, whose deflection beat goalkeeper Alleana Ayu Arumy.
Indonesia responded with several dangerous attacks, but the chances created by Nahon and Sheva Imut failed to produce an equalizer.
Singapore doubled its advantage in the 22nd minute when Nicole Lim’s curling shot was beyond the reach of Arumy.
For the remainder of the first half, captain Viny Silfanus and her teammates pressed forward, but Singapore goalkeeper Nur Izairida delivered an impressive performance, denying several of the home side's opportunities.
After the break, Indonesia attempted to raise the intensity of its attacks. However, poor passing accuracy and finishing continued to hamper the Garuda Pertiwi side.
Further chances came through Silfanus and Aulia Al Mabruroh, but neither was able to reduce the deficit.
Singapore spent much of the second half defending and relying on counterattacks. One of the best opportunities came from Nasriah Ibrahim, whose effort was stopped by substitute goalkeeper Iris De Rouw.
As the match entered its closing stages, Indonesia dominated possession and attacking play. Yet a header from Nahon and a shot from Reva Oktaviani failed to find the net.
The score remained unchanged until the final whistle, with Singapore securing a 2‑0 victory. Indonesia’s women’s national team was left to concede defeat on home soil. (Diffa Sephiawardhani)
