RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi carved its name into continental volleyball history by clinching the AVC Men’s Champions League 2026 title in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Sunday, May 17.

The Indonesian police-backed club became the nation’s first to win at the Asian level after defeating Foolad Sirjan Iranian 3–1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-23, 25-23) in a gripping final.

Powered by international stars Noumory Keita, Robertlandy Simon Aties, and Rok Mozic, Bhayangkara seized early control in the opening set, racing to a 4–1 lead and maintaining momentum through a commanding 25–20 finish, Antara reported.

Foolad responded in the second set with relentless pressure, overturning a late deficit to edge Bhayangkara 26–24.

The third set unfolded as a tense exchange of points, with both sides locked at 23–23 before Bhayangkara’s composure delivered two decisive strikes for a 25–23 win.

Foolad surged again in the fourth, briefly leading 4–1, but Bhayangkara regrouped, clawed back to 5–5, and gradually asserted dominance. The set climaxed in a nail-biting finish, with Keita sealing victory through a service ace at 24–23.

The triumph not only crowned Bhayangkara as Asia’s best but also secured Indonesia’s debut appearance at the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Club World Championship 2026.

Coach Reidel Alfonso Gonzalez Toiran praised his squad’s resilience, while captain Farhan Halim and teammates celebrated a landmark moment for Indonesian volleyball. ***
