RRI.CO.ID, Basel - Indonesian women’s singles shuttler Putri Kusuma Wardhani, known as Putri KW, secured the runner-up position at the BWF World Tour Super 300 Swiss Open 2026. Playing at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, she was defeated by Thai shuttler Supanida Katethong.

In the 40-minute final, Putri KW lost 11-21, 15-21. She had also been beaten by Katethong in their last encounter at the SEA Games. “From the start, I wanted to play my best and give everything. But on the court, I felt under pressure,” she said after the match.

In the first game, Katethong immediately applied pressure and scored 10 consecutive points to lead 13-3. Putri, trailing by a wide margin, was unable to recover and ended the game with a 10-21 loss.

According to Putri, Katethong’s strategy of limiting high shots and accelerating the pace restricted her ability to play. “I’m still grateful to finish as runner-up, but unfortunately, I couldn’t bring out my best performance in this match,” she said.

In the second game, Putri kept the score close until 11-11. However, Katethong once again dominated and sealed a straight-set victory with a final score of 21-15.
