RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Persib Bandung’s new signing, Layvin Kurzawa, has set his sights on victory as the team prepares to face Ratchaburi in the first leg of the AFC Champions League (ACL) II Round of 16 at Ratchaburi Stadium, Na Mueang, Thailand, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
Speaking through the club’s official website on Monday, February 9, the French full-back expressed his determination to deliver a strong performance and help Persib secure a positive result.
“Our target is to win this match, play with the right mentality, avoid conceding, and score the goals we need,” Kurzawa said.
The former Paris Saint-Germain defender has been training with Persib for about a week and is among the squad traveling to Thailand. While admitting he is unfamiliar with Ratchaburi’s exact strength, Kurzawa acknowledged the challenge ahead, noting that the Thai side earned their place in the Round of 16.
“We’ll see how it goes. We will give our best in this match,” he added.
The 33-year-old is now awaiting his debut for Persib after joining during the mid-season transfer window of 2025/2026. Prior to moving to Bandung, Kurzawa played for Portuguese top-flight club Boavista, though his appearances were limited due to injuries. ***
