Indonesia Police Introduces People-Oriented New Service Tagline

RRI.CO.ID. Jakarta – The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has introduced a new tagline, “Polisi Bersama Masyarakat” or “Police Together with the Community,” as part of strengthening the direction of its dedication and service to the people. This tagline marks a new chapter under the leadership of the new Chief of National Police, General Suyudi Ario Seto, who was inaugurated on October 1, 2026.

The tagline emphasizes the spirit that Polri is present with the community, stands in the midst of the community, and places the needs and interests of the people as the main part of implementing police duties. It is not merely a slogan, but a paradigm shift from the previous era of PRESISI to a more community-cantered approach.

Head of the Public Relations Division of Polri, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, said that the tagline “Police Together with the Community” is an affirmation of the leadership direction of Police General Suyudi Ario Seto, who places the community as the centre of orientation for police tasks. This vision was previously conveyed during his fit and proper test at the House of Representatives.

“Police together with the community is not just a tagline, but a spirit that must be realized in every implementation of duty. Polri is present to listen, to serve, to protect, to provide legal certainty, and together with the community to maintain security and order,” Isir said in his statement in Jakarta, Monday, October 5, 2026.

According to Isir, this spirit is in line with the direction of Polri's transformation conveyed by the Chief of Police during the feasibility test at the DPR RI. On that occasion, Suyudi emphasized the importance of professionalism, accountability, service quality, and closeness between Polri and the community as three main principles: integrity, solidity, and synergy.

“Therefore, closeness with the community must be part of the work culture of all Polri members. Criticism and input from the community must also be seen as evaluation material to continuously improve the quality of service and task implementation,” he said.

Isir added that the implementation of the tagline is expected to further strengthen the presence of Polri in the midst of the community, both through public services, fair law enforcement, and rapid response to various security and public order issues. To reinforce the spirit, Polri will use “Police Together with the Community” as a communication identity that will be socialized and understood by all ranks.
