RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian government continues to strengthen public information transparency to establish business certainty and boost global investor confidence amidst international economic dynamics. The Expert Staff for Regional Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Haryo Limanseto, stated that this strategic step serves as an essential foundation to optimize investment potential while driving inclusive and sustainable national economic growth.

“This theme is highly relevant, especially given global uncertainty and technological disruption. Information disclosure is the key to reducing that uncertainty and strengthening investor confidence,” he stated in Jakarta on Monday, September 21, 2026.

This statement was delivered during the Public Information Disclosure Dissemination event themed “Open Information, Quality Investment, Impactful Downstreaming,” jointly initiated with the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). The collaborative agenda was attended by several high-ranking state officials, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming, Rudy Salahuddin, who officially opened the event.

In his opening remarks, Ministry Secretary Rudy Salahuddin, emphasized that transparent information governance is a shared agenda to ensure downstream policies are easily understood by the public. “With increasingly sound information governance, we hope to strengthen public trust, support the creation of a quality investment climate, and ensure that investment and downstreaming policies are well understood and deliver tangible benefits to the community,” said Ministry Secretary Rudy.

The reinforcement of information disclosure aligns with Indonesia's solid economic fundamentals in the first semester of 2026, which grew by 5.45 percent year-on-year (yoy). This positive achievement was further supported by investment realization during the same period reaching Rp1,010.6 trillion, alongside foreign exchange reserves of approximately US$146 billion as of August 2026.

The government remains optimistic that these stable economic indicators will accelerate the achievement of national economic growth targets of 6 percent in 2027 and 8 percent in 2029. To realize this, the administration continues to optimize the risk-based online single submission licensing system while expanding access to information regarding regional leading commodity potentials for international business actors.

Through this cross-sectoral synergy, the government expects Indonesia's investment climate to become increasingly transparent, competitive, and globally competent. This consistent commitment to public information disclosure is also believed to provide long-term legal certainty for foreign investors seeking to participate in national downstreaming projects.
