Indonesian House Approves Finance Ministry Budget for 2027 Fiscal Year

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesian House of Representatives have formally approved the Ministry of Finance's proposed Rp49.80 trillion or around US$2.82 billion budget for the 2027 fiscal year during a parliamentary session in Jakarta. Commission XI of the House of Representatives reached the agreement with Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa on Monday, September 7, 2026, allocating funds across five main state management programs.

The approved package allocates Rp45.81 trillion or around US$2.60 billion to management support, while funding state revenue management at Rp3.62 trillion or around US$205.16 million and risk management at Rp267.58 billion or around US$15.16 million. The remaining funds are designated for fiscal policy, economic management, and state expenditure oversight to support broad economic development.

To ensure strict accountability, House of Representatives and ministry leaders agreed that all expenditure must maximize measurable public outcomes and economic impacts. Under the new agreement, the Ministry of Finance will submit detailed performance reports every quarter throughout 2027 to assess budget efficiency.

He expressed appreciation for the constructive dialogue during the legislative review process. He noted that input from the House of Representatives would help refine future planning and operational execution.

He emphasized that strong ongoing collaboration between the executive and legislative branches will remain vital for effective fiscal governance. Parliament will evaluate quarterly progress reports to provide ongoing policy adjustments and ensure financial targets are met.
