Prabowo Emphasizes BUMN Must be Transparent, Rejects Data Manipulation

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, emphasized that there should be no tolerance for data manipulation and false reports in the management of State-Owned Enterprises or SOEs. According to him, SOEs must present data correctly and accurately as part of efforts to strengthen the governance of state-owned companies.

Prabowo said the government has made corrections to the financial reports of several state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in 2024. As a result of these corrections, the profits of the SOEs in 2024 were recorded at Rp186 trillion, with dividends paid to the state amounting to Rp85.5 trillion.

"I also remind you here that we will not tolerate number manipulation, with false reports. We must obtain accurate figures, precise numbers, even if they are sometimes bitter," Prabowo said in the State Address at the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI-DPD RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 14, 2026.

After governance improvements were made, Prabowo stated that the profits of SOEs in 2025 increased to Rp326 trillion, growing by 75.3 percent compared to the previous year. He emphasized that this figure represents profits obtained without report manipulation.

"This Rp326 trillion is profit without any number games," he asserted.

Prabowo also explained that the net dividend of SOEs in 2025 will reach Rp138 trillion after accounting for state capital participation or PMN. This figure represents an increase of about 160 percent compared to the net dividend of 2024, which was recorded at Rp53 trillion.

The government, Prabowo continued, projects that state-owned enterprise (SOE) dividends will reach Rp200 trillion by 2026 without state capital participation. According to him, this increase indicates that improving governance and managing SOEs in a healthy manner can enhance the contribution of state-owned companies to the national finances.

Prabowo emphasized that the management of state-owned enterprises must be conducted with good governance principles and based on accountable data. He believes that management improvements and the cessation of manipulation practices can yield positive results for the performance of state companies.

"This proves that with sound management and honest intentions, our success can come very quickly," Prabowo said.
