Prabowo Inaugurates Thousands of Infrastructures, Fosters Community Access

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 3,395 bridges and 3,000 clean water sources built by the Indonesian Military TNI and Indonesian Police (Polri) in various regions of Indonesia. The infrastructure is intended to strengthen connectivity and expand public access to educational, health, and basic needs facilities.

The inauguration was conducted centrally from the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Of the total bridges inaugurated, 2,500 bridges were built by the TNI, while the Polri built and revitalized 895 Red and White Precision Bridges spread across 30 Regional Police (Polda) areas.

The bridges built by the TNI open access to 7,807 villages, 9,008 educational facilities or schools, and 4,502 health facilities. Meanwhile, 3,000 clean water sources were built by the Army to support the fulfillment of the community's basic needs.

Prabowo said that the development is part of the TNI and Polri's service to the community. According to him, infrastructure development that addresses the needs of the citizens demonstrates the role of the TNI and Polri in providing direct service to the people.

"Brothers and sisters, you have carried out a mission, a mission of service, a mission of devotion to the people. This is proof that the TNI is truly the people's army and the police are truly the people's police. This is what we must always remember," Prabowo said at the Merdeka Palace Jakarta, Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The infrastructure development was carried out thru the collaboration of the military, police, local government, foundations, volunteers, and the community. Prabowo believes that the spirit of mutual cooperation in the development demonstrates the ability of the Indonesian people to work together for the benefit of the public.

The President also expressed appreciation to the Chief of Staff of the Army, TNI General Maruli Simanjuntak, the Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as well as all ranks of the TNI and Polri involved in the construction of those thousands of infrastructures.

"Today we prove that the Indonesian nation is a united nation, truly a nation that works together, a nation that is capable of harnessing our own strength to work as hard as possible for the prosperity and well-being of the people," he explained.
