RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto personally toured an exhibition of research results from the National Agency for Research and Innovation (BRIN) at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday, August 6, 2026. A total of 15 innovation booths were on display to support various national priority programs.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the exhibition demonstrated the government’s commitment to strengthening national research and innovation as the foundation of the nation’s self-reliance. “This is achieved by enhancing the capabilities of Indonesia’s human resources to produce high-quality technology relevant to development challenges,” he said in a written statement on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
Minister Prasetyo noted that the various innovations on display were not merely a showcase of national research achievements. “This is a sign that Indonesia possesses the real capacity to independently address the nation’s strategic needs,” he said.
He emphasized that the government is promoting the downstreaming of research outcomes to provide tangible benefits to the public. Therefore, collaboration among BRIN, universities, industry, state owned enterprises, and local administrations is being continuously strengthened.
This strengthened collaboration, Minister Prasetyo said, is expected to accelerate the emergence of technologies created by Indonesia’s local talent. This step is also part of the effort to realize the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
BRIN showcased 15 products and research clusters at the Presidential Palace, including Aerospace and Space Technology (N219/N219A Aircraft, NEO-1 Satellite, PUNA MALE Drone), Water Security (Arsinum Mobile, Giant Sea Wall, Seawater Desalination, Modular Breakwater), and Nuclear Technology.
