RRI.CO.ID, Boyolali – Indonesia's Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, paid a working visit to Pan Brothers in Boyolali, Central Java, on Friday, July 31, 2026. The visit was conducted to review the implementation of equal employment opportunities for people with disabilities at one of Indonesia’s largest textile and garment companies.
He noted that Pan Brothers has taken concrete steps to open up employment opportunities for people with disabilities while creating a work environment that supports the development of every employee’s potential. The Minister expressed his high appreciation to the management.
“I extend my highest appreciation to the management of Pan Brothers for having created tangible and proportional opportunities for our friends with disabilities,” he said.
Yassierli noted that this initiative aligns with the provisions of Law No. 8 of 2016 on Persons with Disabilities. The law requires private companies to employ at least 1 percent of their total workforce as people with disabilities.
He said the company does not merely fulfill its regulatory obligations but also provides supportive facilities and builds a work system capable of accommodating the needs of every employee. “Pan Brothers has not only successfully met these requirements but has also been able to provide supportive facilities and foster a work culture that is adaptive, welcoming, and inclusive,” he said.
The Minister of Manpower hopes that the practices implemented by Pan Brothers can serve as an example for the business community in expanding employment opportunities for people with disabilities across various sectors. According to him, synergy between the government and the business community is a crucial foundation for creating a labor market that provides equal opportunities while boosting national productivity.
Yassierli stated, “Collaboration between the government and the business community is key to expanding employment opportunities while realizing an inclusive, productive, and equitable labor market for the entire community.”
