RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia’s Ministry of Defense will close the first batch of the Indonesian Development Driving Undergraduate (SPPI) Education and Training under the Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperative (KDKMP) and Red and White Fishermen's Village (KNMP) programs. The training will be closed on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Taxi Way Hangar Squadron 17, Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta.

A total of 35,476 participants took part in the first batch of training, which was held from June 17, 2026, to July 31, 2026. They were spread across 67 TNI education and training units.

Of the more than 63,000 participants who passed the selection process, the Ministry of Defense has set a quota of 35,476 participants for the first phase of training. The quota consists of 30,000 prospective managers of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative, as well as 5,476 prospective managers and three operational elements of the Merah Putih Fishermen's Village.

The Head of the Defense Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM Han) of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Ketut Gede Wetan Pastia, told the media at the Ministry of Defense in Jakarta on Thursday, July 30, 2026, that of this total, 33,846 participants ultimately participated in the opening of the SPPI training for the KDKMP and KMNP programs.

In addition, he stated that by the closing date, scheduled for Friday, the number of participants who have completed the training is estimated to be 33,785. "Hopefully, we will close this training tomorrow with 33,785 people," he conveyed.

Ketut further mentioned that 61 participants were unable to complete the training. According to him, the participants did not continue their education due to various factors, ranging from medical history to psychological issues.

"Of the 61 participants who were opened to the final round, there were 61 who were not able to continue for various reasons. For example, 16 people from the final round were unable to continue due to health or psychological reasons," he said.

In addition to these factors, Ketut mentioned that some participants chose to withdraw because they decided to return to their previous professions. "Then there were those who withdrew. Some withdrew because they chose their previous professions," he said.

Moreover, around 40 female participants were unable to continue their education due to pregnancy. However, Major General Ketut said, they remained in the talent pool and have the opportunity to participate in the next batch of the training and education.

“Then there were those who were pregnant, as previously asked, around 40 people, whose status went forward as talent pool participants. This means they will still be given the opportunity to hold or participate in the next batch of education.

However, all decisions regarding this will be communicated by the Central National Selection Committee Team for follow-up activities," he said.
