RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) continues to strengthen the governance of personnel housing facilities and inventory management to support personnel welfare and maintain unit operational readiness. The Inspector General of the Indonesian Air Force (Irjenau), Rear Marshal TNI Arif Widianto, in a written address, emphasized that the provision of adequate official housing and the accountable management of supplies are important factors in maintaining personnel focus, organizational solidity, and the operational readiness of the Indonesian Air Force.

"The provision of adequate and proper official housing facilities and good inventory management are important pillars in maintaining the focus, solidity, and operational readiness of the unit," Arif said in his written statement in Jakarta, Thursday, July 23, 2026.

According to him, the Indonesian Air Force continues to optimize the fulfillment of housing needs thru the construction of official residences, synergy with the government and related ministries, as well as a non-official housing financing scheme thru the Mandatory Employe Savings (TWP). On the other hand, orderly inventory management in accordance with Government Accounting Standards (SAP) is an important part of supporting the readiness of defense equipment and unit operations.

Rear Marshal TNI Arif also considered the presence of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia as a strategic partner to evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control system while identifying opportunities for improvement in organizational governance.

"We hope that all relevant officials will provide full support for the inspection by preparing data openly, completely, and responsibly so that the inspection process runs as planned," he said.

Thru this inspection, the Indonesian Air Force hopes that the management of soldier housing fulfillment and inventory management will become more effective, transparent, and accountable in supporting the organization's task execution.
