RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, inaugurated more than 1,700 newly graduated officers of the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Indonesian Police (Polri) at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. They previously became cadets in their respective academies.

"President Prabowo Subianto led the 2026 Officer Commencement Ceremony (Praspa) for the Indonesian Military and the Indonesian Police," the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat said on its website.

The newly commissioned officers include 512 graduates of the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java, 229 graduates of the Naval Academy in Surabaya, East Java, and 154 graduates of the Air Force Academy in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, another 282 graduated from the Police Academy in Semarang, Central Java.

Four of the graduates—each representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Police—received the Adhi Makayasa award. It is a prestigious honor recognizing outstanding academic achievement and leadership.

In his remarks, President Prabowo urged the new officers to view their commissioning not as the finish line, but as the beginning of a lifetime of service to the nation, the state, and the people of Indonesia.

"On this auspicious day, on behalf of myself, the government, the people, the nation, and the state, I congratulate you on your official appointment as TNI and Polri officers in 2026," he said.

"Today is not just a ceremony; today is not the finish line; today is the beginning of a service to the nation and state. You have sworn to give your lives and bodies to the nation, state, and people of Indonesia, if necessary," he said.
