RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Command students of the batch 49 from Education Squadron 802 of Education Wing 800/Quick Response Troops (Pasgat) underwent How To Fight (HTF) training in the Balegede Forest, Cianjur, West Java, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The training is an important part of testing the physical, mental, and combat capabilities of the students in the forest terrain.

The training was directly reviewed by the Commander of the 800/Pasgat Education Wing, Colonel Yosafat Soelya, accompanied by the Commander of Skadik 802, Major Ucu Bonay.

HTF is the main material in the mountain jungle combat education phase, focusing on techniques and tactics for fighting in forest terrain. In the training, the students cover a distance of 12 kilometres while overcoming various combat obstacles.

Some obstacles that must be dealt with including landing nets, grenade throws, double rope bridges, launches, rope termites, dopers, and knife throws.

Besides honing combat skills, the training is also designed to develop students' focus, precision in action, and mental resilience in facing challenging terrains and high-pressure situations.

Colonel Yosafat Soelya, said that HTF serves as a means of character building for tough and professional Command soldiers. "This HTF is the real test." This is where mental toughness, physical endurance, and combat instincts are honed. "There is no space for doubt, don’t surrender," Yosafat said in his written statement on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Meanwhile, Major Ucu Bonay explained that the training scenarios were designed realistically to build the combat readiness of the students in facing various operational assignments in the future.
