RRI.CO.ID, Indramayu - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah urges preparations for the Indramayu Hajj Dormitory in West Java ahead of the 2026 Hajj season, Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The effort includes coordination with military personnel to support facility readiness.

Inspector General of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Dendi Suryadi, said the initiative aims to ensure better service quality for pilgrims. He noted that field monitoring is being intensified across key locations.

Around 35 personnel from Kodam III/Siliwangi in Indramayu are involved in the monitoring effort. The support is designed to strengthen supervision across West Java.

“We involve around 35 personnel from Military Regional Command (Kodam) III/Siliwangi in Indramayu to help monitoring activities in West Java,” he said.

He explained that monitoring is supported by operational vehicles to ensure effective mobility. This allows teams to reach all strategic points efficiently.

Field inspections found that the dormitory has strong potential due to its modern buildings and large area. However, maintenance conditions still require significant improvement.

“The building is actually very representative and spacious, but it needs reorganization. Therefore, we conduct inspections while preparing operational support so it can be optimized,” he said.

Cleaning activities were carried out together with TNI personnel, covering gardens, main buildings, dormitories, and dining areas. The effort is part of accelerating infrastructure readiness ahead of pilgrim arrivals.

The collaboration is expected to continue during Hajj operations to ensure smooth services. The initiative reflects coordination between the government and the military for better service delivery.
