RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the halal bihalal (gathering) of the Indonesian Society of Appraisal Professionals (MAPPI) at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. This attendance was part of an effort to strengthen institutional relationships and encourage hexa-helix collaboration between the government and professional associations developing the creative economy.

On this occasion, the Minister of Creative Economy emphasized the strategic role of professional associations in supporting the creative economy ecosystem, particularly through strengthening intellectual property-based financing. He stated that the inauguration of 64 intellectual property valuators (IP valuators) in February 2026 was a crucial step in opening access to financing for creative actors.

"Until now, works or creative output have only remained as works. But with the presence of IP valuators, intellectual property can now become an asset. This will certainly be very helpful, especially in opening access to funding," the Minister of Creative Economy said.

Moreover, he added that bolstering the creative economy ecosystem does not depend solely on one aspect, but requires a comprehensive foundation, from regulations and increased awareness to the quality of industry players. This step is considered crucial to ensure the sector's sustainable growth.

"This is part of our efforts to build the foundations for a rapidly growing industry, from regulations and increased awareness to quality. Simply put, the ministry's task is to encourage the emergence of local heroes or local brands to rise to the national level. Furthermore, we nurture them to become national champions capable of competing globally," he said.

Through cross-sector collaboration, the Ministry of Creative Economy continues to encourage the potential of the creative economy to contribute significantly to the national economy, both in terms of investment, trade, and job creation. This activity also serves as a momentum to strengthen synergy between the government and stakeholders in creating a conducive ecosystem for the growth of the creative industry based on innovation and intellectual property.
