  • IFC is developing LSP Fashion Indonesia to establish national competency standards for professionals across Indonesia’s fashion industry.

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC) is advancing projects to strengthen the nation’s fashion ecosystem, including the establishment of the Indonesian Fashion Professional Certification Institute (LSP Fashion Indonesia).

Founder Lisa Fitria explained that the initiative goes beyond certification, aiming to build measurable and professional competency standards for fashion talent. The LSP introduces five creative pathways: Assistant Fashion Designer, Junior Fashion Designer, Fashion Designer, Fashion Stylist, and Creative Director--making it the first in Indonesia to offer such a broad framework.

Beyond certification, Lisa is developing concepts that merge sustainable fashion, luxury, modest wear, and lifestyle. One project focuses on creating global‑positioned brands tailored to the needs of pilgrims during umrah and hajj. “The idea is to translate worship needs into modern, high‑quality, sustainable fashion with global appeal,” she said, as quoted by Antara.

Lisa envisions expanding the brand internationally with outlets across multiple countries. She also plans to showcase her latest collection in October, collaborating with batik artisans to present contemporary polka‑dot motifs alongside other modernized batik designs at Into Motion Fest, part of the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF).

She emphasized that IFC’s projects share a common thread: pushing Indonesian fashion to deliver not only beautiful products but also identity, competence, and sustainability. Lisa hopes these efforts will contribute to the broader growth of the national fashion industry.

This year, she also intends to pursue a master’s degree in creative industries, focusing her research on mapping Indonesia’s modest fashion roadmap toward becoming a global hub for sustainable modest wear. ***
