Yun Jian Debuts in Indonesian with “Pergi Secepat Ini”

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – South Korean singer Yun Jian has released her debut Indonesian-language single, “Pergi Secepat Ini,” under Semesta Records. The song, composed by Rian Ekky Pradipta, vocalist of D’MASIV, showcases an emotional musical style that appealed to Yun Jian.

In a recent episode of The Session, Yun Jian said “Pergi Secepat Ini” tells the story of losing someone precious, whether a family member, partner, or beloved pet. Its title, meaning “Left This Fast,” reflects the shock and sadness when something deeply valued suddenly disappears without warning.

She said in a statement on Semesta Records’ YouTube channel, the song immediately captured her heart because its emotional character strongly connected with her feelings. She became deeply immersed in the recording process, even crying while interpreting the song’s story and emotional message.

The release also highlights Yun Jian’s growing connection with Indonesian music, which began when she started covering songs last May. Her song covers went viral, gaining over 500 thousand Instagram views and attracting attention from singers, producers, and record labels.

The exposure led to a collaboration with Musica Studios before Yun Jian eventually signed with Semesta Records in Indonesia. The singer also has previous experience writing about separation, including her self-produced Korean track “Tteonagayo” (“You Left Me”).

Her admiration for Indonesian music comes from its powerful lyrics and arrangements, which she believes can deeply touch listeners. She also considers D’MASIV one of her favorite Indonesian bands and felt comfortable communicating closely with Rian during production.

Yun Jian hopes “Pergi Secepat Ini” can comfort and encourage listeners experiencing separation, grief, difficult moments, and personal hardship. The single is now available on all major digital music platforms, marking another step in Yun Jian’s Indonesian music journey.
