RRI.CO.ID, Pangkalpinang - A new folk song titled Yokiba was officially launched in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands, on Monday, April 6, 2026. Created by songwriter Artono, the track features a collaborative performance by prominent singers Tommy Ali, Joe Ramadhani, and Citra Ayu.

The song is designed as a spirited invitation for the community to remain optimistic and joyful despite current regional challenges. The title Yokiba is an abbreviation of the Bangka phrase "Yo kite bedincak agik, yo kite berkumpul agik," which translates to "Let’s dance again, let’s gather again."

Artono, who also penned the previous regional hit Bedincak, shared that the creative process for Yokiba took less than a month. He was inspired by the recent global success of regional Indonesian music that has managed to cross international borders.

"I created Yokiba because I was inspired by the regional songs that are booming now where people follow the song and the movements," Artono explained during the press conference, as quoted by Antara.

The song arrives at a right time for the Bangka Belitung Islands. Executive Producer Syahrial Ridho noted that the upbeat track serves a social purpose: providing entertainment and boosting morale during a period of local economic instability.

“Amidst the economic conditions of Babel (Bangka Belitung) that are not doing well, we created a movement through this regional song to entertain the community,” Ridho said.

The launch is backed by experienced industry names, including Trinity Entertainment and Dian Records. Singer Tommy Ali expressed strong confidence that the song's blend of traditional pantun (poetry) and local dialects will help it achieve national and even global recognition, similar to the viral success of Tabola Bale.

Early indicators suggest a positive reception; within just a few hours of its digital release, the music video garnered over a thousand views. Manager Roadshow Fauzan Ilmas believes the combination of popular vocalists and a calculated promotional strategy will secure Yokiba a permanent place in the hearts of the public. ***
