Indonesia and Seven Muslim Countries Condemn Plan to Expel Palestinians from Gaza

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Foreign Ministers of Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have strongly condemned statements by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding plans to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

In a joint statement, the ministers stressed that various proposals, plans, and mechanisms aimed at forcing Palestinians to leave their land constitute a clear violation of international law, including international humanitarian law.

“The ministers reaffirmed their unequivocal rejection and condemnation of any attempts or plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people, whether within or outside the Occupied Palestinian Territory, under any pretext or justification,” the statement said on Monday, 8 September l2026.

The foreign ministers also warned that adopting forced displacement into official policy or concrete measures could have serious consequences and threaten international efforts to achieve peace in the region.

They further underscored such statements could undermine prospects for regional stability and run counter to peace efforts, including US President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.

“Such actions constitute a direct threat to international efforts aimed at achieving peace, foremost among them President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict,” the statement said.

The ministers stressed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Therefore, they emphasized the importance of preserving the unity of Palestinian territory, encompassing the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

The ministers reiterated that the only path toward achieving a just and lasting peace is through the implementation of a two-state solution.

The solution includes the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the borders of 4 June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international resolutions.

They also called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to fulfill its responsibilities by firmly confronting any attempts to create a new demographic or geographic reality in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The ministers reaffirmed their full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land and rejected all attempts aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause or undermining the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
