RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The United States Army and the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) have successfully concluded the Ksatria Warrior 2026 joint exercise in South Sumatra, conducted from August 15 to 28, 2026, to enhance operational readiness and interoperability in the Indo-Pacific region.
According to a statement released by the US Embassy in Jakarta on Saturday, August 29, 2026, the two-week program integrated humanitarian assistance, civil engineering projects, and field tactical training. The exercise included a Staff Exercise (STAFFEX) where battalion-level planners executed the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) to establish unified operational directives.
Prior to field maneuvers, soldiers from the 215th Engineer Vertical Construction Company collaborated with TNI AD engineers in an Engineer Civic Action Project (ENCAP) from August 11 to 19, renovating a local school to foster community relations under the US Army Pacific's humanitarian assistance framework.
Military commanders highlighted that joint exercises strengthen strategic partnerships and generate tangible benefits for regional security and local communities. US Army Reserve Officer Major Luis Sanchez emphasized the strategic value of combined military readiness in the region.
"As we consider potential challenges in the Pacific, it is vital that we maintain seamless operational capability with our partner forces so we can pool our strengths, sustaining our partnership with TNI AD and Indonesian soldiers supports mutual growth, operational synergy, and long-term security across the Indo-Pacific," Luis Sanchez said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Saturday, August 29, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
US Army National Guard Captain David Carrion of the 215th Engineer Vertical Construction Company noted the community impact of the joint engineering initiative.
