Bali Immigration Steps Up Enforcement After Deporting French Content Creator

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Immigration authorities in Denpasar are stepping up enforcement to maintain public order and ensure foreign visitors comply with Indonesian regulations, following the deportation of a French national accused of producing and promoting obscene content online, marking the third such case involving foreigners in Bali within a week.

The Denpasar Immigration Office confirmed the deportation of a 30‑year‑old French man, identified by initials LR, whose videos circulated on an adult site. He was sent back to Paris via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport after procedures were completed in line with regulations.

“Every stage was carried out according to procedure until the individual was repatriated,” Head of Denpasar Immigration Class I TPI, R. Haryo Sakti, said on Thursday, August 27, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

LR entered Indonesia through Bali on July 20, 2026, using a visitor visa via the automated immigration service. His deportation followed public reports and digital tracing by immigration intelligence officers, who examined his travel documents and activities.

Authorities said LR created and promoted obscene content on a site identified by initials OF, allegedly selling access through shared links.

The case is the third involving foreign nationals in Bali within a week. On August 21, an Australian man was arrested for engaging in public sexual activity in Berawa, Badung, while his female partner remains at large. A day earlier, three foreigners were reported for indecent acts in Canggu, with police still pursuing them.
