RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta — The Indonesian government has strongly condemned Israel’s continued military attacks on the Gaza Strip, including strikes targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, describing them as serious violations of international law. In an official statement issued by Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Indonesia said the attacks deliberately undermine the implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan and further exacerbate the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Indonesia called on Israel, as a party to the ceasefire agreement, to immediately and permanently halt all military operations, fully comply with its obligations under relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, and honor all commitments under the ceasefire agreement in accordance with international law.

“Indonesia calls for Israel, as a party to the ceasefire agreement,” the ministry said. Indonesia also welcomed reports that Hamas and other Palestinian factions have accepted the Phase Two Roadmap of the Gaza Peace Plan in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025). According to Indonesia, this marks an important step toward ending the conflict.

“This is an important step toward ending the conflict,” the ministry stated.

In addition, Indonesia urged all parties to ensure the full protection of civilians, medical personnel, and humanitarian workers, while guaranteeing the safe, rapid, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance.

“Indonesia further calls on all parties to ensure the full protection of civilians, medical personnel, and humanitarian workers, and ensure the safe, rapid, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance,” the ministry said.

Indonesia also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting a credible political process aimed at realizing an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on the Two-State Solution, in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and internationally agreed parameters, as the only viable path toward a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
