RRI.CO.ID, Auckland – The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Wellington, in collaboration with the Indonesian diaspora, showcased Indonesia’s culinary heritage and premium products at The Auckland Food Show 2026 held at Auckland Showgrounds, New Zealand, on July 26, 2026.

In a written statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the Indonesian Embassy said Indonesia’s pavilion featured the theme “Beyond Bali: A Spice Islands Market Experience,” offering visitors an authentic taste of Indonesian cuisine while introducing a range of the country’s signature products.

The initiative was carried out in partnership with Bali Nights Limited, Nusantara Trading Limited, a retailer of Indonesian packaged foods and seasonings, and Be Specialty Limited, an importer promoting specialty coffee from Temanggung, Central Java. Through direct promotion, including free product tastings and sampling, the Indonesian pavilion successfully increased the visibility of Indonesian cuisine and strengthened public awareness of Indonesian products in New Zealand.

Traditional Indonesian dishes such as chicken satay with peanut sauce, rendang served with yellow rice, and a variety of Indonesian sambals were among the most popular attractions. Processed food products, including Kusuka cassava chips, Marie Regal biscuits, and Kopiko coffee candy, also drew strong interest from visitors.

Temanggung coffee also received positive reviews, with visitors enjoying both its black coffee and palm sugar coffee made with coconut milk, offering a vegan-friendly option.

The Indonesian Embassy in Wellington said its continued participation in The Auckland Food Show reflects its commitment to expanding market access for Indonesian products in New Zealand through close collaboration with the Indonesian diaspora. The initiative is expected to further strengthen the presence of Indonesian products in the Pacific market while creating broader opportunities for international trade in the future.
