Head of Madinah Regional Hajj Officers Leads First Roll Call

RRI.CO.ID, Madinah - Head of Madinah Regional Hajj Officers, Khalilurrahman, led the first roll call to ensure readiness for incoming pilgrims. The roll call was held in Madinah on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

The roll call marked preparations to welcome the first group of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia. The first group is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

He emphasized that serving pilgrims is both a responsibility and an honor for all officers involved. This principle reflects the strong commitment of Indonesian Hajj officers in delivering quality services.

Besides, he highlighted that all Hajj officers are responsible for serving, accompanying, and protecting pilgrims. These responsibilities apply throughout their stay in the Holy Land across all service sectors.

During the roll call, he stressed the importance of thorough preparation in all service aspects. He reminded officers to ensure readiness in every operational sector without any exception.

"The first group of Hajj pilgrims, God willing, will arrive on April 22, 2026. Therefore, we must ensure that all preparations are carried out thoroughly," he said.

He explained that essential services have been prepared for all Indonesian pilgrims arriving in Madinah. These include transportation, accommodation, meals, healthcare services, and special assistance for elderly and disabled pilgrims.

Several technical steps have been implemented to strengthen service readiness across all operational sectors. These include administrative completion, workspace preparation, and coordination with various service partners involved.

"The officers who are present will immediately conduct coordination meetings, conduct field inspections, and ensure readiness in each sector," he said.

Khalilurrahman highlighted the tagline “Khidmatul Hujjaj Sharafuna” which means serving Hajj pilgrims is an honor, as a spirit in carrying out their duties. He expressed hope that pilgrims can perform Hajj comfortably and achieve an accepted pilgrimage.
